Lazio midfielder Ederson has been the subject of interest from Saint Etienne and Montpellier, among other clubs, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 29 year old has largely struggled to prove his worth in Italian Serie A, having started mere 10 league fixtures in almost three years at Stadio Olimpico.
And even if his contract is not due to expire before June 2017, the Biancocelcesti hope to cash in on him in the summer.
Brazilian giants Sao Paulo were the first side to make their interest concrete, but they were put off by Lazio’s €3 million asking price.
However, the latest reports suggest that a Ligue 1 return could be on the cards with Saint Etienne and Montpellier keen on his services.
It was in France’s top flight that Ederson enjoyed the best years of his career, scoring 27 goals in 190 Ligue 1 appearances for Nice and Lyon.
