Lazio are on the verge of signing Sampdoria wing back Reto Ziegler, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Bianconeri have reportedly agreed terms with the Swiss international, who will arrive at Olimpico once his contract expires at the end of the season.
Lazio first showed interest in the 25-year-old last January, but the player then opted to remain at Sampdoria.
However, it has been reported that Lazio have agreed a deal with Ziegler’s representatives and all that’s left is for the player to sign the contract.
It was clear that the player was on his way out of Luigi Ferraris when he rejected a new contract from Sampdoria but it looks as though he won’t be moving too far away.
Schalke and Werder Bremen were among the sides interested in his signature, but Ziegler eventually opted for Lazio.
