Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma is closing in on a move to Serie A rivals Inter, according to the player’s agent, Vincenzo D’Ippolito.
Reports say a switch could be completed before the January transfer window closes on Monday.
“The two presidents are talking and I think that an official announcement could be released today,” the agent told Lalaziosiamonoi.it.
“[Lazio president Claudio] Lotito has realised that he had to lower his demands, partly because the Inter offer was hard to turn down.”
Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi could join Lazio as part of a deal for Ledesma.
“As far as I know, Inter have included a Primavera youngster in the deal,” explained D’Ippolito.
“But it is not [Rene] Khrin, whose fee was too high.”
