Lazio step up chase for Borini, Milinkovic-Savic

Italian Serie A outfit Lazio are set to launch a fresh assault on Fabio Borini and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Il Corriere dello Sport has learned.

The Bianconeri plan to sign another wide forward and central midfielder and the two aforementioned players are currently their top targets.

It is now clear that Fabio Borini will be allowed to leave Liverpool seeing as he did not make the club’s squad for pre-season tour of Far East, and Lazio look set to take advantage of the situation.

The Biancocelesti will soon meet with the player’s agent to present their offer, believed to be worth €1.5 million per campaign, but they are waiting to learn whether the forward will be staying in England or returning to Serie A.

At the same time, Lazio hope to recruit Serbia Under-20 star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with Genk yet to respond to their €8 million proposal.

Seeing as the Biancocelesti remain the only top side to have submitted an offer for the highly rated midfielder, the Belgian club could agree to do a deal.
