Il Corriere dello Sport has learned that Lazio are in advanced talks with Cagliari over the signing of Italy international Davide Astori.
The Biancocelesti have been in negotiations with both the defender and his employers and it is believed the next few days will be crucial to the potential transfer taking place.
As far as Astori’s personal terms are concerned, he is requesting €1.5 million per season, while Lazio are ready to offer €1.1 million.
Meanwhile, the Biancocelesti are not prepared to match Cagliari’s €8 million asking price, but have rather offered €5 million.
Considering that the highly rated defender has just one year left on his deal with the Isolani, Lazio officials believe that is a fair proposal.
At the same time, the Serie A giants are looking at Feyenoord hotshot Stefan de Vrij, but his price is likely to have increased a great deal following some impressive displays at the 2014 World Cup.
