Le Fondre closing in on Bolton switch

Bolton Wanderers are close to signing Adam Le Fondre on loan from Championship rivals Cardiff City, according to Sky Sports.

The striker has struggled to find his best form since moving to the South Wales side from Reading in the summer, scoring just three goals in twenty-one league appearances.

He penned a three-year deal with the Bluebirds, but is set to join up with Neil Lennon’s side for the rest of this season.

According to the Trotters boss, the former Rotherham United man will not be signed in time to feature in tomorrow’s match at Millmoor though he does expect the deal will go through in time for him to be involved in their home game with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.

Bolton currently sit in sixteenth place in the table, fourteen points behind the top six though they have a game in hand on the majority of the sides above them.
