French Ligue 1 side Le Havre have appointed Frederic Hantz to replace the recently sacked Jean-Marc Nobilo.
Hantz faces a difficult task in the French coastal town, as Le Havre currently occupy the bottom spot in the league with only 12 points from their first 18 games and a goal difference of minus 18.
The 42-year-old Hantz, who as a player spent most of his time at smaller teams, began his coaching career at Rodez AF ten years ago. Since, he has managed ESA Brive, Le Mans and Sochaux.
At Le Havre, Hantz signed a deal that should keep him at the Normandy outfit until the summer of 2010.
