Leeds United eye Ings

Leeds United are readying a move for out-of-favour Liverpool forward Danny Ings, according to the Express.

The Championship promotion hopefuls are set to move for the twenty-five year old when the transfer window reopens in January as they look to secure a return to the top flight following a fourteen year absence.

Ings moved to Anfield from Burnley in the summer of 2015 but has made just twelve appearances since though he was sidelined for the majority of the last two campaigns with a serious knee problem.

His appearance in the 2-0 League Cup defeat to Leicester City last month was his first in eleven months, though he is behind Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Domonic Solanke in the pecking order for the Reds.

Leeds have lost three of their last four games in the Championship, but sit just four points behind leaders Cardiff City and are priced at 11/4 to be promoted.
