Leicester agree deal for Genk starlet

Premier League champions Leicester City have all but agreed on a transfer of Genk starlet Wilfred Ndidi.

The 19-year-old Nigerian talent is currently plying his trade at the Belgium side where he has caught the eye of Leicester City and according to reports from Ndidi’s homeland Claudio Ranieri’s team is set to welcome their first January addition.

A fee in excess of £15 million is reportedly agreed this week, prior to Genk’s 3-1 Cup win over Waasland-Beveren. Ndidi managed to get his name on the score sheet in the process and make an even bigger impression on his future employers watching from the stands.

Ndidi is also believed to have already picked a shirt number ahead of his imminent January move to King Power Stadium where he will be featuring with a 25 below his name on the Leicester shirt.

Nigerian defender Ndidi has so far made 16 First Division A appearances for Genk this season.
