Leicester City to offer Maguire new deal

Leicester City are ready to offer Harry Maguire a new deal that would see the defender almost double his wages, according to the Mirror.

The twenty-five-year-old, who starred for England at this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia has recently been linked with a move to Manchester United though the Foxes are keen to keep him at the King Power Stadium.

Maguire moved to the East Midlands club from Hull City just twelve months ago for £17m – just over a quarter of the fee the Red Devils were looking to offer in a bid to secure his services.

Last season, the centre-back played every minute of Leicester’s Premier League campaign, scoring twice with a further six outings coming in cup competitions.

His form saw him included in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup, where he played in all seven of England’s games – scoring the opener in the 2-0 quarter-final victory over Sweden.
