French media outlet Le 10 sport understands that Premier League champions Leicester City have made an official proposal for Nice hotshot Nampalys Mendy.
The holding midfielder is being heavily linked with a big club move, with Paris Saint-Germain also hot on his trail.
However, Leicester City appear to have moved to the front of the queue having submitted an €11 million proposal for his services.
Claudio Ranieri is well aware of the youngster’s qualities having coached him at Monaco, and with Mendy having since further raised his game, the Italian manager is determined to bring him to King Power Stadium.
And while many believe that the 23-year-old would arrive as a replacement for N’Golo Kante, who could be leaving in the summer transfer window, Ranieri rather wants Mendy to learn from the France international at King Power.
Despite his fragile age, the defensive midfielder already has 184 league appearances to his name.
