Leicester return for Adrien

Having failed in their attempt to secure Adrien’s signature in the closing stages of the summer transfer window, Premier League champions Leicester City are ready to go back for the Sporting CP midfielder.

The player himself spoke about his desire to join the Foxes before the deal fell through and Adrien was forced to remain with the Portuguese outfit.

Portugal news outlet Abola reports that Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has preserved his interest in Sporting CP captain and Portugal international, who played a part in his nation’s summer success at the 2016 European Championship finals in France.

Leicester City have been widely disappointing in the Premier League this season, having grabbed mere 13 points from as many matches and Claudio Ranieri is desperate to add more quality to his midfield.

Adrien has made nine Primeira Liga appearances for Sporting this season, adding one goal to his name in the process.
