Lemar in demand again

According to French outlet Telefoot, Arsenal and Liverpool are ready to reignite their respective interests in Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, and Monaco are willing to listen to offers for the 22-year-old player.

Lemar has been heavily linked with the two English clubs since last summer. Liverpool were in the middle of the Coutinho saga and were reportedly looking at Lemar as a potential replacement for the Brazilian, while Arsenal went a bit further by submitting an actual last-minute bid – only to have it rejected.

The situation is now somewhat different both at Anfield and the Emirates. Philippe Coutinho has left Liverpool for Barcelona in January for €160 million, and even though their quality at the moment doesn’t seem to have suffered at all since then, the addition of Lemar to their team would certainly be a useful one. Arsenal are having trouble with Jack Wilshere whose current contract is set to expire this summer, and Aaron Ramsey has also been mentioned as a possible departure.
