Leo Messi’s new Barcelona release clause revealed

The Argentina international Leo Messi has become synonymous with the Catalan giants Barcelona and is widely expected to finish his career at Camp Nou.

Growing reports however seem to be indicating that Messi is considering his future with Barca.

The 30-year-old is currently weighing up an offer from Barcelona that is supposed to keep him around until 2021, but Messi is reportedly growing frustrated after a difficult transfer window for his club which saw Barcelona sell Neymar in the world-record deal and fail to land Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona are expected to return with a January bid for the Brazilian and currently stand at 3/1 betting odds to land Coutinho during the winter market.

Leo Messi’s new deal reportedly includes a release clause in excess of €300 which might be too huge for a 30-year-old player but definitely is not that outlandish given the fees paid for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Leo Messi has been constantly linked with a move away from Barcelona, most notably to Manchester City where his former boss Pep Guardiola would welcome him with open arms.
