(GSM) – Former Milan manager Leonardo has dismissed reports linking his name to the Roma job amid question marks over Claudio Ranieri’s future as coach of the capital club.

Roma have not issued a statement to deny the rumors, but now, Leonardo has snubbed the chance to work in Serie A – at least for the time being – insisting that he is still too ‘tied’ to Milan.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Leonardo said: “Right now it would betray my history, my past in red and black.

“Little time has past. I am still too tied to Milan.

“Now I would find it too much effort to work in Italy.

“Maybe in the future, but now, no,” he concluded.
