Two sides that have spent the majority of 2018 battling it out at the foot of the La Liga table, on Monday night Levante will look to carry on their fine form when they travel to the Estadio Municipal de Butarque.

For Asier Garitano’s Leganes side, despite only losing one of their opening 10 La Liga matchups, Los Pepineros have been unable to replicate their initial success and have since freefallen down the table. Coming off the back of their close fought 2-1 loss to former Champions Real Madrid last weekend, Leganes have now only managed to pick up three points twice in 2018 and have just one win in their last eight. Even more worrying for the hosts is their recent record against Levante, Leganes have now failed to win any of their last six meetings between the two sides, Garitano’s men have also failed to score in any of those six.

As for Francisco Fernández’s Levante side, although many had tipped the Red and Blues for relegation after a poor start to the season, the Frogs have drastically improved their form and have continued to climb up the table. With their La Liga status confirmed for another season, Levante can climb as high as 14th with a win and they will travel to the Estadio Municipal de Butarque filled with confidence. Coming off the back of a 2-1 win against Sevilla last time out, they have now won their last three on the bounce and aside from a defeat to Atletico Madrid last month, they have not been beaten in their other 10 La Liga outings.
