Leverkusen to consider Chelsea bid for Schurrle

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has added fuel to speculations linking Andre Schurrle with a summer switch to Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old is one of Chelsea’s top targets for the 2013/2014 season, and the Blues are believed to be preparing a fresh assault on the Germany international.

According to reports from Germany, the Blues are ready to offer £10 million cash and include Kevin de Bruyne in the deal.

It appears that the Bundesliga side are ready to cash in on their prized asset, with sporting director Rudi Voller revealing that the club would consider an offer from England.

“The fact we are thinking about it is part of business, we did the same thing last year,” Voller told Bild, referring to the €25 million bid Chelsea submitted last summer.

Andre Schurrle is widely regarded as one of the most talented forwards in Germany, and he might feel it’s time to join a top European club.

The Germany international hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth this season, but he, nonetheless, scored 9 goals and produced 5 assists in 28 Bundesliga appearances.
