Tigres UANL continued their undefeated start to the Liga MX season thanks to a 2-0 away win over Queretaro on Saturday.

A 40th-minute Emanuel Villa strike was followed up by a late Danilinho goal to hand Tigres victory with the result moving them to 12 points from their first four games.

They are followed closely on the table by Tijuana who enjoyed a 2-0 win of their own over Pachuca with Alfredo Moreno and Raul Enriquez getting the goals to ensure their side only trail Tigres on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Atlante condemned Jaguares to the bottom of the ladder after a thrilling 4-3 win in Cancun.

Atlante got off to the perfect start thanks to a quick-fire double from Joaquin Larrivey in the first 15 minutes but found themselves behind midway through the second half, with Leiton Jimenez scoring on 57 minutes before Luis Lorona added two goals in eight minutes.

The three points appeared to be safe for Jaguares as the game moved into injury time but goals from Diego Ordaz and Luis Venegas ensured Atlante came from behind to steal a dramatic win.

Monterrey claimed their second win of the season after overcoming San Luis 3-2 at the Estadio Tecnologico.

The home side went into half-time with a 2-0 lead after Leobardo Lopez and Aldo de Nigris scored early but were pegged back in the second half thanks to goals from Santiago Trellez and Mauro Matos.

Jesus Zavala ensured Monterrey had the last laugh, however, with a goal 13 minutes from time sealing victory.

In the weekend’s other games, Cruz Azul thumped Puebla 4-0, Atlas beat America 2-1, Pumas UNAM overcame Toluca 1-0, Santos Laguna won 2-0 at home over Leon and Morelia and Guadalajara played out a 1-1 draw.
