Vitoria Guimaraes scored a late equaliser to deny Beira-Mar their second win of the season in a 2-2 Liga Sagres draw on Friday.
Beira-Mar struck in the third minute through Saudi Arabian striker Saleh Al-Shehri to take an early lead, however Guimaraes defender Freire restored parity after 20 minutes.
Substitute Abel Camara put Beira-Mar back in front in the 76th minute and the home side appeared to be heading towards a much-needed victory before Amido Balde popped up in the 90th minute to salvage a point for his side.
Guimaraes move up one place to seventh on the league table while the draw, was not enough for Beira-Mar to escape the relegation zone as they go to fifteenth, now one place ahead of bottom side Moreirense, who face Sporting Portugal on Monday.
