A second-half fightback saw Academica snatch a point in Liga Sagres, in a six-goal thriller at Beira-Mar on Monday.
The home side led 3-0 midway through the first half only for the visitors to grab three goals in the closing 20 minutes to earn a share of the spoils in their opening match.
Striker Javier Balboa gave the home side a seventh-minute lead from the penalty spot, his fourth goal for the club.
A brace from striker Camara either side of half-time seemed to seal the first-up victory for Beira-Mar but Academica had other thoughts.
Guinea striker Salim Cisse pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 69th minute to set the ball rolling.
Then attacking team-mate Edinho struck twice in six minutes, his second three minutes from time, to earn Academica a point in dramatic fashion.
