Porto kept the pressure on Liga Sagres leaders Benfica with a 5-0 home win over Gil Vicente on Monday.

Two goals in the first half and three in the second extended Porto’s unbeaten run but they still trail Benfica by three points with a game in hand.

Brazil defender Danilo opened the scoring after four minutes with his first goal of the season.

An own goal by Vitor Simoes da Vinha seven minutes later gave Porto a 2-0 lead which they held until half-time.

Belgian midfielder Steven Defour scored the third after 54 minutes before goals from Silvestre Varela in the 75th minute and Colombian striker Jackson Martinez in stoppage time completed the rout.
