Porto trumped Lisbon rivals Sporting 2-0 to regain top spot in Liga Sagres, while Braga and Olhanense played out a thrilling 4-4 draw.

Colombia striker Jackson Martinez put Vitor Pereira’s Porto side ahead on 10 minutes, cushioning a long pass before scoring a sublime backheel for a stylish opener.

Lucho Gonzalez missed a spot-kick for Porto and Sporting had Marcos Rojo sent off on 72 minutes before James Rodriguez sealed the points from the penalty spot with seven minutes remaining.

The win leaves Porto equal with Benfica on 14 points, though Pereira’s side sit top of the standings by account of superior goal difference.

At Estadio AXA, Braga had a Douglao goal in the third minute of stoppage time to thank for salvaging a point at home to Olhanense.

Liban Abi put the visitors ahead inside four minutes but Braga’s Helder Barbosa provided a prompt reply five minutes later.

A pair of Ivanildo strikes had Olhanense 3-1 up at half-time before Douglao netted for Braga just after the interval.

When Braga’s Ruben Amorim scored an own goal the points seemed to be going to the visitors, only for Eder to net in the 81st-minute before Douglao’s last-gasp effort salvaged Jose Peserio’s side a point.

In Sunday’s other matches, Gil Vincente climbed to fourth after Rafael Silva netted in a 1-0 win at Nacional, while Rio Ave also enjoyed away success as a Jao Tomas double set up a 3-1 win over Estoril.

Vitoria Guimaraes shot clear of the relegation zone following a 2-1 win at Academia, El Arbi Hillel Soudani scoring a second-half brace to cancel out Marinho’s 27th-minute opener.

Vitoria Setubal and Pacos de Ferreira remain mid-table after playing out a scoreless draw at Estadio do Bonfim.
