In a largely uneventful affair at the Stade Jacques Chaban-Delmas neither side
could create clear cut chances on a rain sodden evening in the south of France.
The result moves Saint-Etienne to fourth spot on the Ligue 1 table with
Bordeaux a place back in fifth with both teams level on 27 points.
Bordeaux will travel to lowly Nancy on Sunday with Saint-Etienne looking ahead
to a tough home tie against Lorient who are also on 27 points.
