A last-gasp equaliser from Marko Basa earned Lille a dramatic 1-1 draw in their Ligue 1 encounter against Bordeaux on Friday.

Heading into the match, Bordeaux were sixth on the table and looking to close the gap on league leaders Marseille, while Lille occupied 10th with just two wins from eight games.

And history suggested another draw was on the cards, with five of the last six competitive fixtures between the two club’s resulting in 1-1 stalemates.

Polish midfielder Ludovic Obraniak, who set up his national team’s equaliser against England in midweek, headed home the opener after 18 minutes.

The former Lille midfielder’s goal appeared to be enough for all three points until defender Basa guided Benoit Pedretti’s cross into the back of the net with just seconds remaining at the Stade Chaban Delmas.

Next up for Bordeaux is a trip to Bastia, while Lille welcomes Valenciennes to the Grand Stade Lille Metropole.
