Two of Ligue 1’s strugglers Sochaux and Evian do battle on Wednesday in their rescheduled match at the Stade Auguste-Bonal.

Nestled next to one another in 17th and 18th position on the table, both have struggled for results of late, particularly at home.

Hosts Sochaux have not won in four games and suffered a 3-1 loss last Sunday at high-flying Valenciennes.

Fortunes have been little better for Evian, who posted a 2-0 home defeat to Lille and 4-0 reverse as they welcomed Toulouse a week earlier to the Parc des Sports.

Tunisian striker Saber Khelifa will lead the line for Evian as will ex-Liverpool winger Anthony Le Tallec for Liverpool. Both have five league goals to their name this season.

Both teams have won only once at home this season and Sochaux in particular will have to improve in that area if they are to escape the relegation zone.
