Ligue 1 leaders Lille dropped two points in a 1-1 draw away to Auxerre on Sunday, while Toulouse beat Monaco 2-0.

Lille led through forward Moussa Sow, who struck the opening goal in the eighth minute at the Stade Abbe-Deschamps.

Goalkeeper Mickael Landreau kept Lille in front with an excellent save from Anthony Le Tallec’s header, while Dariusz Dudka went close for the hosts 10 minutes into the second half.

Franck Beria and Eden Hazard threatened a second goal for Lille, but the visitors were unable to extend their advantage.

Auxerre pushed hard in search of an equaliser and it came through Poland midfielder Dudka, who connected with Frederic Sammaritano’s free-kick with just four minutes remaining.

Despite only being able to draw, Lille go five points clear thanks to second-placed Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-0 loss away to Stade Rennes on Saturday.

A second-half brace from Moussa Sissoko helped Toulouse cruise to a 2-0 win over struggling Monaco.

Midfielder Sissoko, capped three times for France, struck on 48 and 76 minutes at the Parc Municipal des Sports, helping Toulouse climb to seventh on the table.

The defeat leaves Monaco second from bottom and four points from safety.

Lyon stopped a run of two consecutive defeats with a 0-0 draw at home to Bordeaux.

Claude Puel’s side sit sixth, just one point ahead of Toulouse, while Bordeaux are 11th.
