Lille and Lyon battle for Caen hotshot

French newspaper Ouest France reports that Lille and Lyon are showing interest in Caen full-back Raphael Guerreiro.

The youngster has largely impressed in his first ever professional season, making 35 Ligue 2 appearances and scoring 1 goals in the process.

His impressive showings did not go unnoticed, with French giants Lille and Lyon casting admiring glances his way.

Les Dogues could easily stay without left-back Lucas Digne in the summer seeing that he is wanted by top European clubs and they believe Guerreiro would be a great long-term replacement.

Lyon are also keen on the player who can also play in midfield, as their squad are set for a major overhaul in the summer.

The 19-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at Caen, has a deal until June 2015 at the club, but he has made it clear he is not interested in moving clubs for the time being.
