Lille forced to cash in on Boufal

Ligue 1 outfit Lille may be forced to sell their star player Sofiane Boufal in the summer transfer window, according to Le 10 Sport.

Despite already cashing in on Djibril Sidibe, les Dogues need another major sale to balance their books and avoid a transfer embargo by the National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG).

And with top European clubs showing interest in winger Sofiane Boufal, the club chiefs have decided to put their star footballer up for sale.

According to reports, Lille want around €20 million for the 22-year-old footballer, who has been linked with Arsenal, Leicester City, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain, among other clubs.

Les Dogues have received no formal offers this summer, but they hope they will eventually manage to raise the cash needed to ensure funding for the upcoming season.

Sofiane Boufal impressed to score 11 goals in 29 Ligue 1 matches last season, and a big club move now seems on the cards.
