Liverpool 12/5 to beat Tottenham in Sunday’s Premier League battle

Competition: Premier League

Market: Liverpool to beat Tottenham

Odds: 12/5 @ Bet365

In what is being billed as a massive Sunday in the Premier League, Liverpool travel to Tottenham in the later kick-off. With Manchester City winning yet again and Manchester United dropping points, this game is a must-win for both sides who are looking to close the gap on themselves and the top sides.

Tottenham come into the game off the back of their superb 1-1 draw with Real Madrid in the week as the London side announced themselves on the biggest stage of them all. They currently sit in third place in the league with 17 points and they can draw level with United on 20 points with a win. What is even more important is that they do not let the gap between themselves and Manchester City increase if they are to have any realistic chance of winning the league this season.

Liverpool, on the other hand come into the game on the back of a 7-0 win over Maribor in the Champions League They currently have accrued 13 points from their eight games which is a pretty paltry return considering their aspirations in the league. Jurgen Klopp has been a breath of fresh air in an offensive sense, but defensively the Reds are still exceptionally poor, which is displayed by the fact they have conceded 12 goals in eight games already. However, the Reds have been able to prove that their attack is often able to cover for their leaky defence and with this in mind, Bet365 have given Liverpool odds of 12/5 to beat Tottenham.
