It’s judgement day for Liverpool, with the Reds on the brink of Champions League elimination ahead of their European bout against Ludogorets tonight. Brendan Rodgers’ side are three points adrift of a last-16 qualification place in Group B, and need a win at the minimum to boost their chances of going through.

FC Basel are second in the group with six points from four games, and face leaders Real Madrid tonight which is expected to see them lose. Liverpool will be praying for Real to get all three points, while ensuring they do their own job by winning tonight against Ludogorets. With Basel (home) as their last group game, a win this evening against Ludo could put their destiny in their own hands.

Rodgers’ side won their first meeting against the Bulgarian outfit, and are being backed by Ladbrokes with odds of 19/20 to get the win tonight. Liverpool have been in poor form of late, losing to Chelsea, Newcastle and Crystal Palace consecutively in the Premier League, but their European dream is all they have left this campaign so they won’t take any more chances.
