Liverpool ‘agree deal’ for Fekir

French radio network RMC claim Liverpool have reached a €70 million agreement with Lyon for Nabil Fekir.

Liverpool have already been linked with the attacking midfielder several times, but now RMC, considered to be reasonably reliable, have reported that a deal has been struck, while also claiming the Reds have opened discussions with Barcelona about the possibility of signing Ousmane Dembélé.

After paying over €100 million for his services, it’s not very likely the Catalans will be ready to give up on Dembélé after just one season, riddled with injuries though it has been. Lyon president Jean-Michele Aulas has denied any contact with Liverpool at this point, while Jürgen Klopp seemed surprised by the speculation linking his team with Fekir at his post-match press conference after the 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Be that as it may, Fekir is a high-quality, versatile attacking player packing a great long-range shot, and he would complement Liverpool’s formidable attacking options well. The same can be said of Dembélé.
