Liverpool and Leicester in for Hegazi

Liverpool and Leicester City are both considering a move for Egypt international Ahmed Hegazi, according to ESPN.

The twenty-six year old is currently on loan at West Bromwich Albion, for whom he has started every league game so far this season.

He also scored the only goal of the game as the Baggies beat Bournemouth on the opening weekend of the season and played in the League Cup second round win over Accrington.

Liverpool are desperate to sort out their defensive woes while Leicester are also interested, with their head of recruitment Eduardo Macia having worked with him at Fiorentina.

West Brom do have first refusal on Hegazi, with an option to sign him on a permanent basis for a fee of €5 million.

The Midlands club drew 2-2 with Newcastle United on Tuesday evening to extend their winless league run to twelve games, and can now be backed at 2/1 to be relegated.
