Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in for Boufal

Premier League duo Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are set to battle for the services of Lille midfielder Sofiane Boufal, according to Talksport.

The playmaker has been one of the Ligue 1 side’s stand out performers so far this season, scoring four goals in twelve games in the French top flight.

That is already one more than he managed for Lille last season, having signed from Angers in January.

He played fifty-four times for his former club, scoring four times.

Aside from Liverpool and Spurs, Paris Saint Germain are set to enter the race for his signature and will be the favourites, with the offer of Champions League football and a high salary likely to be on the table.

Despite looking likely to declare for Morocco internationally, Boufal was born in Paris but is yet to receive a call up for either the African side or France at any level.
