Liverpool are reportedly lining up a move for Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy in the January transfer window.
Van Nistelrooy is expected to be allowed to leave Real Madrid in January after falling down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Sunday Mirror says Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez could make a move to bring in the former Manchester United striker on loan until the end of the season.
Benitez is looking to strengthen his team with some firepower up front in January.
Tottenham and Manchester City are also reportedly tracking the Dutchman.
If Van Nistelrooy decides to join Liverpool it will for sure send shock waves all the way to Old Trafford.
