Liverpool close to signing Ince

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are finally closing in on a deal for Blackpool’s highly-rated attacker Thomas Ince and a deal could be done in the next few days.

Ince’s signature seems to have been one that Brendan Rodgers has been after for a while as he clearly likes the Englishman, but was unable to lure him away from the English Championship side in the summer window.

It is thought that Swansea City made an enquiry about the England under-21 international, but found the asking price of around £6 million a bit excessive.

That might have just given Liverpool the push they needed to try and bring him to Anfield and if he does sign for the Merseyside club, he will be back where it all started for him as a player.

Ince has been very impressive during his time at Blackpool, but the English Premier League is where he wants to be playing his football.

The only concern he may have is how much playing time he is going to get. If he is able to impress Rodgers though, then he is sure to find his name on the team-sheet on a number of occasions.

We shall see.
