Liverpool in for Berahino

Liverpool are set to join the race to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, according to the Express.

The Reds are in the hunt for a new forward as star striker Daniel Sturridge continues to struggle with injury, Christian Benteke continues to misfire and fellow summer signing Danny Ings is out for the season.

Berahino has long been linked with a move away from the Hawthorns, and even handed in a transfer record last summer though that was turned down.

Tottenham Hotspur are the front runners to secure his services, though Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be set to through his hat into the ring.

Despite being limited largely to substitute appearances as his future with the Baggies remains in the balance, Berahino is his sides joint top league goal-scorer with three goals.

West Brom travel to Chelsea on Wednesday evening, and can be backed at 8/1 to take all three points.
