Liverpool in fresh assault on Winston Reid

Sunday People is reporting that Liverpool are planning a January swoop for West Ham defender Winston Reid.

The Reds have been leaking goals regularly this season despite splashing the cash on Dejan Lovren in the summer and Brendan Rodgers seems determined to sign another centre back in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Sunday People, West Ham’s Winston Reid is high on his wish list as Liverpool plan to take advantage of his contractual situation.

Namely, the New Zealand star will be out of contract in the summer and even though the Hammers hope to persuade him to stay, the 26-year-old appears to be considering his options.

Reid has spent last four and a half years at Boleyn Ground, having joined from Danish Midtjylland, making a total of 109 league appearances.

West Ham will be in action later today as they play host to Swansea, with home win paying 13/10.
