Liverpool lead race to sign Marco Reus

Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo is suggesting that Premier League hot-shots Liverpool have emerged as firm favourites to land the versatile Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.

The 28-year-old German international is heading into the final year of his contract and several clubs such as AS Roma and AC Milan seem to have taken an interest in bringing him to the Serie A.

Reus has endured a difficult season in Bundesliga this year and has just recently returned from a cruciate ligament injury which limited his playing time to not more than 114 minutes. Despite not playing much for the BVB, Reus scored two goals in last two matches for his club.

He caused quite a stir with his flying kick celebration, a trademark move from Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino, which was immediately interpreted as a clear message sent to the Reds and Reus’s former manager and mentor Jurgen Klopp.
