Liverpool linked with Wanyama move

The Mail Online understands that Liverpool are considering a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama.

The Reds are on the lookout for a potential replacement for Emre Can, who continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield with Juventus his most likely destination.

Wanyama has barely featured for Mauricio Pochettino’s side so far this season with just one of his ten Premier League outings thus far coming from the start.

Most of his minutes this term have come in the FA Cup, playing the majority of the third and fourth round ties against AFC Wimbledon and Newport County respectively.

In total the twenty-six year old former Southampton and Celtic man has racked up sixty appearances in all competitions for the North London club, scoring six goals – the latest of which a stunning long range effort in the 2-2 draw at Anfield earlier this month.
