Liverpool and Manchester United vying for Blind

Liverpool and Manchester United are among clubs readying bids for Ajax full-back Daley Blind, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.

While top European clubs have been showing interest in the 24-year-old for a while now, it was his excellent performance for the Netherlands in the 5-1 triumph over Spain that made everyone stand up and take notice.

As a result, Liverpool, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are all considering summer bids for the talented footballer.

Daley Blind has a contract until June 2016 at Amsterdam ArenA and is valued at €12 million, which is a small price to pay for such a good footballer.

The Netherlands international is equally adept at playing in midfield and defence, with versatility one of his biggest assets.

The son of Oranje legend Danny Blind will be in the starting line-up when Louis van Gaal’s charges face Australia later today, with Netherlands priced at 2/9 to claim maximum points.
