French daily newspaper L’Equipe understands that Liverpool have won the chase to sign Monaco youngster Christian Koffi.
The 17-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the current campaign and he has reportedly accepted an offer from Anfield.
Likened to Liverpool star Sadio Mane for his style of play, Koffi was on the radar of quite a few top clubs, but he eventually opted to join the Reds.
The youngster has shown a great deal of potential playing for Monaco youth sides, finishing as runners up in the Under-17 league last term.
But, despite being offered a new deal in the Principality, Koffi decided to leave for greener pastures and he will continue his development in England.
