Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is considering making a move for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan in the January transfer window.
The former Manchester United striker would cost Liverpool around £15million, something that would force Benitez to sell before making a bid for the 30-year-old, according to The People.
Forlan admitted earlier this week that he would be tempted by a return to the Premier League, after failing to make an impact during his spell at United.
Forlan told UEFA’s official website: “England, and the Premier League, gave me many things and I thank them for that. If I have a chance to return, I would like to go.â€
“I feel I have nothing to prove there. The only difference is that I am more experienced today.â€
