Liverpool target looking for a new challenge

Toulouse highly rated midfielder Moussa Sissoko has revealed that he wants to leave the club at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has been linked with Liverpool, Manchester City and Lyon among other clubs and he feels this is the right time to look for a new challenge.

“It’s been four years since I’m in Toulouse, four years during which I have really grown. Maybe I need a new challenge to make it to the next level,” Sissoko told L’Equipe.

“I need new and bigger challenges. I need to play big matches in the European Cup, it’s that simple.”

However, Toulouse coach, Alain Casanova doesn’t agree that Sissoko should leave at the end of the season.

“A departure this summer? I do not agree at all. For me, Moussa did not finish his development. He has not completed a season this year.”

Club president Olivier Sadran says the player will be allowed to leave if the right offer comes along.

“He had a pretty average season. For him to go, should the offer be too good to refuse…Given his current performances, I doubt that will be the case…”
