Liverpool urge Bordeaux to play Ilori

Premier League giants Liverpool have told Bordeaux that they need to field loan signing Tiago Ilori on regular basis, according to Gold FM.

The youngster joined les Girondins this summer in an attempt to gain much needed first team experience, but he has failed to get into Willy Sagnol’s side.

Ilori started just one of first five league fixtures, leading Liverpool officials to warn the French club that the player needs regular playing time.

Gold FM has suggested that the Reds had inserted a clause in the loan deal which guarantees that the youngster makes at least 30 outings for the club this season.

Tiago Ilori, 21, moved to Liverpool last summer having impressed in his debut season for Sporting Lisbon, but he has yet to feature in a Premier League match.

The centre-back enjoyed a short-term loan spell with Granada last season, starting 9 La Liga games for los Rojiblancos.
