Liverpool won’t sell Salah

According to The Telegraph, Liverpool will not be considering any offers for Mohamed Salah this summer.

Salah has scored 36 goals in 41 appearances for the Merseyside club so far this season. With 28 of them scored in the Premier League, he is approaching the record number of 31, jointly held by Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez. With seven games left to play, it’s likely that a new record will be set this term.

Naturally, this fantastic output of the Egyptian has sparked all sorts of speculation and a general belief that it is only a matter of time before the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona come calling.

Liverpool are looking to transform their status from a “stepping-stone” to a final destination for players of such quality, and are therefore refusing to name a price for their star winger. Their financial situation has recently changed significantly, even since January when they granted Philippe Coutinho his wish for a move to Barcelona. They are now adamant that Salah will remain one of the most important cogs in their bids for trophies in future seasons.
