Llorente open to leaving Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur’s Fernando Llorente is prepared to consider leaving North London this summer, according to the Mirror.

Llorente chose to move to Spurs rather than Chelsea last year after he had a very good season at Swansea. However, although he has made 29 appearances in all competition this term, most of them were off the bench and he has so far only managed to score five goals. Unhappy with such a role, the 33-year-old is ready to move again.

The striker played for Atletic Bilbao for the largest part of his career, where he scored 118 goals in 333 games in all competitions. The Basque club are apparently interested in bringing him back, and Llorente said on more than one occasion that they hold a special place in his heart and should their offer arrive, he would, of course, think about it, and the deal could easily happen.

After leaving Bilbao in 2013, the Spaniard spent two years at Juventus and a year at Sevilla before moving to the south of Wales.
