Catania director Pietro Lo Monaco says Inter coach Jose Mourinho left him feeling ‘appalled’ when the former Chelsea boss compared himself to God.
Lo Monaco also attacked Mourinho last Monday, when he told the press that the Portuguese coach deserved a ‘smack in the mouth’ following comments he had made in the 2-1 win over Catania.
“I would like to reaffirm the notion that my sentences did not intend to instigate physical violence,†Lo Monaco told Radio Rai.
“However, when I hear certain phrases of Mourinho such as the one when he said that only he came after God, I remain appalled.â€Â
The comments Lo Monaco reacted to, was this made by Mourinho: “If I wanted to have an easy job… I would have stayed at Porto – beautiful blue chair, the Uefa Champions League trophy, God, and after God, me.â€Â
