Two sides that have booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the US Open Cup, Los Angeles will look to bounce back to the top of the Western Conference when they face off against Houston Dynamo.

For Wilmer Cabrera’s Houston Dynamo side, although The Dynamo were able to secure a fourth-place finish last season, the hosts on Wednesday have struggled with their consistency in the Western Conference this time around. Despite booking their spot in the quarter-finals in the US Open Cup in a three-match winning run last month, Houston are coming off the back of a 2-1 loss to Mexican side CF Monterrey in an international friendly last week and Cabrera’s side have now lost their last two matches on the bounce. While they have been impressive in the final third, we believe that a high-flying Los Angeles side will be to much for them.

As for former USA national boss Bob Bradley, his Los Angeles FC side have really burst onto the scene in the Western Conference. Although top scorer Carlos Vela has been away on international duty with Mexico at this summers World Cup finals, The Whites have continued to catch the eye and a win on Wednesday will see them leapfrog both Dallas and Sporting KC. Coming off the back of thumping Philadelphia Union 4-1 last week, the visitors have now impressively won their last five matches on the bounce and have also booked their spot in the next round of the US Open Cup.
