Rudi Garcia was a happy man after Lille’s 1-1 away draw against Bordeaux and says luck is beginning to work in his team’s favour.
The 48-year-old believes the 2011 Ligue 1 champions have been unfortunate in the opening weeks of the 2012-13 campaign, but was pleased to see his side enjoy the rub of the green for once.
“The point makes up a bit for all the times we’ve played well and haven’t been rewarded,” he said.
“The wheel is turning and our luck is coming back.
“In terms of the table, it’s a point won for us: getting a draw in Bordeaux is about as well as we’ve done in the last few seasons.
“On the other hand, I wasn’t too impressed with the content of our play – we wasted possession a bit and got hit on the counter in the first-half as a result. We lacked fluidity and attacking determination.”
Lille currently sit 10th in the Ligue 1 table with 11 points from nine games.
