Luis Enrique linked with Bayern job

Reports in Spain are suggesting that former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is among the candidates to take over the reigns at Bayern Munich.

The Bavarians decided to sack Carlo Ancelotti after a number of key figures in the squad voiced their discontent with the Italian, appointing his assistant Willy Sagnol as interim boss.

At the same time, the club officials have been actively searching for a long-term solution, with Julian Nagelsmann, Thomas Tuchel and Luis Enrique reportedly in the mix.

Bayern Munich officials even met with former coach Pep Guardiola to discuss their targets, and it is believed that Tuchel and Enrique were at the centre of attention.

Luis Enrique spent a total of three seasons as Barcelona head coach, lifting nine major trophies in the process.
